The heartwood colour is medium to dark red brown minimal resin streaks. Grain is interlocked; texture can be rather coarse.

Usage

Dark red Meranti is part of the ‘Shorea’ group of hardwoods .It machines and finishes well. It’s ideal for use in Construction, external/internal joinery, shop fitting , flooring, windows, doors and conservatories.
