Pinus palustris, elliotti, echinata & taeda

Hard, dense and decorative, high strength to weight ratio, good figure and grain. Holds fastenings like hardwood. Easy to work, stable in its original dimension, saws and machines well but is often troublesome. Accepts preservative treatments exceptionally well. The timber is moderately durable.

Uses: structural/constructional – outdoor, in-ground & marine work, internal joinery, panelling and furniture.
